Hi All,
We're certainly noticing the change in the weather and are currently arguing about putting the heating on in NGNPUK HQ! So far an extra pullover is just edging ahead (well played Louise :-) )!!
Here's the latest update to what we've been up to, starting with some thank you's;
Donations
As always, thank you to everyone involved, these donations make a massive difference to people in our communities
Great news for a Wednesday morning!
We are so pleased to have been awarded a grant for £3300 from the Cambridgeshire Rural Fund!
This is a charitable fund managed by Cambridgeshire Community Foundation and it will enable us to purchase 3 more machines for the Cambridgeshire areas to share. Well done Lee for finding the grant for us and filling out all the necessary paperwork.
It seems to take a lot of time to put the case and information together and to campaign for the funding, but makes a huge difference to help us push further into Cambridgeshire to support our neighbouring communities and make a difference to so many people.
Xmas fayre donations
Calling all cake bakers 🎂🍰🧁
Our Christmas fayre wouldn't be a NGNPUK do without cake. Sam and Louise will be doing their very best to bake as much as they can, but we are always very grateful of any donations for us to sell on our tea and cake stall :). If you would like to help us by baking a cake please let us know :). They can be dropped off at:
19 Eastfield Drive on Saturday 2nd November or dropped off on the day :)
Reindeer food (Wildlife friendly of course!!)
We have recently started making our wildlife friendly reindeer food 😳, yes I know, in October 🤣!!. This will be on sale at the Fayre. We have a full house and will even have the big man himself along with one of his Elves to collect all those Christmas lists :) .
Over 30 different stalls and lots of tea, coffee and cake on offer :) . Free entry so come and have a browse.
Driver bags
Big thanks to Gwen Bunting and her friends Ann, Helen, Trish, Maureen, Shelagh, Pauline and Sandy who have delivered more Syringe driver bags to us :) .

Some AMAZING news for 2020….
NGNPUK have been selected as a charity partner of the Peterborough Biscuit business event on the 5th February 2020 held at the East of England Arena and Events Centre 😄
The biscuit is the largest business to business, exhibition and corporate day event in East Anglia. The aim is to showcase the excellent business community that operates within a 55 mile radius of the city.
This is a HUGE opportunity for us to take our message about the importance of syringe drivers, and our mission here at NGNPUK to a large corporate and business audience.
We can’t wait to get going, so watch this space for more info as it gets closes.
A huge thanks to Gary Swan, Steve and Edward Smith for this amazing opportunity. The more people who know what a syringe driver is and what they do, the better!
Perkins Great Eastern Run 2019
Well done to the lovely Karen Willmott who ran her 13.1 half marathon independently!
Karen was due to take part in the Peterborough Great Eastern Run on Sunday 13th October raising funds for NGNPUK in memory of Kevin Bassam.
As many of you may know the race was called off leaving many runners very cold and wet but it was the right decision on the day. Karen was not to be defeated and ran the distance today !
Massive congratulations and thank you to Karen and everyone who sponsored her, you have raised a fantastic £115.
Karen's next challenge for NGNPUK in memory of Kevin Bassam is the Peterborough Marathon in April 2020 which she is already busy training for! Go Karen! x
