We'd like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.
Thank you to everyone for all their support in 2018. Thanks to you all, there are now 61 new machines out their helping many patients their families and our lovely District Nurses. We hope there will be more to come in 2019 which will help the wider communities.
We have had amazing support and wholeheartedly thank you all!
Here are all the great thing that happened in December:
December started with a trip around Whittlesey with Santa and the Whittlesey Lions on the 2nd and again on the 4th, in March with the Lions and the Rotary. In particular, the March collection will be shared between 4 charities and NGNPUK were lucky enough to be one of them.
It was cold but fun nights supporting the Lions who are always supporting us and a nice hug with Santa kept Samantha and Louise warm.
Christmas Tree
Well it’s all done and we absolutely LOVE the NGNPUK tree!!
Massive thanks again to Jason Mockett for buying the tree it's amazing! To our lovely friend Donna McKean Smith from Riverside Beads for donating the card. To the talented Nicky Bedford for spending the time making the beautiful dragonflies for us and to all the families who contacted us to have their loved ones names added to the tree.
We hope you all love it as much as we do and that lots of you managed to visit St Mary's Church to see all the beautiful trees. It all looks amazing. Well done to everyone who decorated a tree for this lovely event. The church was full to the brim with beautiful trees.
UPDATE:
Wow thank you to everyone who voted for the NGNPUK tree at the Whittlesey Christmas Tree Festival.
We are a little overwhelmed as we won the best group tree which is just fantastic and lovely that people loved the tree as much as we did.
It meant so much to everyone seeing their loved ones names on the dragonflies.
Thank you to all the families who have been in touch over the last few days we are so glad it has brought a little bit of comfort to you all.
The church looked amazing and all the trees were beautiful. Well done to everyone who took part and all the organisers.
Valarie and Julie:
Big thanks to Valarie Griffiths for your donation at the carol service and to Julie Brookbanks for your kind donation.
WERRINGTON JOGGERS:
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Werrington Joggers who donated a whopping £1400 to NGNPUK last night.
Samantha went along and was presented with a cheque by Paul Burgess. This donation will enable us to buy another machine outright which will help so many people when they need it most.
Big thanks to everyone involved.
RETIREMENT:
We would like to say a massive thank you to the lovely Janet Smith for her wonderful donation of £1000 to celebrate her retirement from Nisa in Whittlesey. Huge thanks Janet this donation will help so many people. We wish you lots of fantastic adventures in the future.
CHRISTMAS CARD DONATIONS:
A big thank you to Wendette Horne Christian, Jo Hunt and Eileen Nixon for your donations to NGNPUK instead of sending out Christmas cards this year.
We wish you and your families a very happy Christmas and a great New Year.
FANTASTIC LOCAL DONATIONS:
Big thanks to the team at GasDesign in Whittlesey for the very generous donation of £500 to NGNPUK instead of sending out gifts and cards to clients this Christmas.
GasDesign donate to four charities and we are very grateful to have been one of the charities to receive a donation this year.
Also a huge thanks to the Whittlesey Round Table for their very generous donation of £500! These donations will help so many people.
Massive thanks to everyone involved with both donations.
In memory:
Thank you to the friends and family of Jim Roan who gave us a very generous donation of £352.90 collected in his memory. These donations make a huge difference to NGNPUK and help provide more machines to help the wider local communities. Thanks again, we will be thinking of you all.
COLLECTION TUBS:
It is amazing how far loose change goes.
Big thanks to everyone who put their spare change in the NGNPUK tub at Westfield Nursery in Whittlesey. You raised a fab £35.81 to go into the Syringe Driver pot and thank you to all the customers who put their spare change in the NGNPUK collection tubs at the Farcet Post Office. You raised a whopping £93.69 .
Those pennies really do add up!!
CLEVER SEWING:
A big thank you goes to Jan Sharman for your donation of £15. Jan has recently carried out a few sewing jobs for people and instead of receiving payment she has asked for donations for NGNPUK.
Jan has also made some fab syringe driver bags which are single bags with buttons on the side which can be buttoned together to make a double bag for those needing 2 machines. Fantastic idea!
As always, thank you for another year of outstanding support, you really are making a difference to our communities.
